Uniswap v4 Introduces Aggregator Hooks for Enhanced Liquidity Access
Written with artificial intelligence.

Uniswap v4 has launched Aggregator Hooks, integrating seven external liquidity sources that account for over 90% of DEX activity on Ethereum, Base, and Robinhood Chain. This innovation allows trades to be routed through these sources while incurring minimal fees that support UNI token burns.
Overview of Aggregator Hooks
Uniswap Labs has rolled out Aggregator Hooks, a new feature that enables the integration of seven external liquidity venues into Uniswap v4. This development allows trades to be routed through these venues, which encompass more than 90% of decentralized exchange (DEX) activity across Ethereum, Base, and Robinhood Chain.
How It Works
Each Aggregator Hook treats an external source as a Uniswap pool, making it accessible to any trading router. This system allows routers to pull updated quotes every block and settle the entire transaction in a single action, without the need for additional approvals. Trades routed to these external sources will incur a small protocol fee, which contributes to the burning of UNI tokens.
Initial Sources and Fee Structure
At launch, the external sources integrated include Fluid, Curve, and PancakeSwap, with plans to incorporate more chains and liquidity sources in the future. According to Hayden Adams, there is no additional margin placed on Uniswap's native liquidity, and only a minimal fee in basis points is charged for trades that utilize these external routes.
Context and Future Directions
The concept of Aggregator Hooks was initially introduced in Uniswap's UNIfication proposal back in November 2025. The first implementation of this aggregator technology was seen in March via the Tempo platform developed by Stripe and Paradigm.
This development marks a significant step in enhancing liquidity options for users, reflecting Uniswap's ongoing efforts to remain at the forefront of decentralized trading solutions.
