BNB Chain Sees 24% Increase in RWA Supply, Tokenized Stock Trading Grows 11-Fold

As of the end of Q3, BNB Chain's real-world asset (RWA) supply reached $4.96 billion, reflecting a 24% increase from the previous quarter. Although trading volume for tokenized stocks surged nearly 11 times, approximately 80% of decentralized exchange (DEX) activity was concentrated on the QQQB token.

Overview of BNB Chain's Q3 Performance

At the end of Q3, BNB Chain reported a substantial increase in its real-world asset (RWA) supply, which rose to $4.96 billion—an increase of 24% compared to the previous quarter. This growth includes a notable uptick in tokenized U.S. Treasury bonds, which reached $3.77 billion, marking a 29% increase, while income-generating stablecoins saw a 9% rise to $1.19 billion.

Surge in Tokenized Stock Trading

The trading volume for tokenized stocks also experienced remarkable growth, skyrocketing to $1.13 billion by the end of Q3, nearly double the $560 million recorded at the end of Q2. The report highlighted that the overall supply of tokenized stocks on the BNB Chain reached $2.89 billion, although this figure is distinct from the RWA totals and should not be combined with them.

Concentration on QQQB Token

Notably, around 80% of the trading volume on the bStocks decentralized exchange (DEX) was concentrated on the QQQB token, which tracks the Invesco QQQ ETF. This trading activity reflects the first full quarter of operations for bStocks, which launched on June 11. The total trading volume for tokenized stocks on BNB Chain during Q3 was approximately $25.6 billion, a significant increase from $2.4 billion in Q2, with the majority coming from DEX transactions.

Lending Market Growth

The lending market on BNB Chain also expanded, with deposit balances reaching $3.57 billion, a 42% increase from the previous quarter, while loan balances rose by 33% to $940 million. However, tokenized stocks accounted for less than 2% of the total deposits in the lending market, amounting to $62 million.

This report is based on market data and analysis, and does not constitute a recommendation for investment in specific tokens.
